WELCOME!!!!!

Thank you for visiting my blog! This is my attempt to post, hopefully creative, modifications to existing RPGs and games. I intend to eventually add completely original content of my own. Currently the focus is bonus scenarios for the D&D Adventure System Game, The Legend of Drizzt by Wizards of the Coast. While the Drizzt game is primarily the focal point, these scenarios are compatible with the D&D Adventure System games, Castle Ravenloft and Wrath of Ashardalon, as well. I also will be adding new characters to the World of WarCraft Adventure Game.

Why mainly bonus scenarios for The Legend of Drizzt board game? Well first of all, it is an absolutely amazing game. Secondly, my sister and I, are big fans of the game, but unfortunately after our 3rd time playing, we had completed all of the scenarios. I know I was craving more. The great thing about the book series on which it is based, is the sheer amount of material. R.A. Salvatore is flooded his novels with plenty of imagery, stories, and fights that are suitable to this style of game. Also, the Dungeon and Dragons world has plenty of straight up dungeon crawling, hack and slash, style video games. These video games match up perfectly for the board game, because the board game is a dungeon crawling, hack and slash. I plan on implementing many of these video games into scenarios.

The future goal is to start publishing free and low-cost pen and paper and dice games. I'm hoping to get my name out there by putting spins on existing games. The Ultimate goal, however, is for everything I publish to be enjoyed. The PDFs you print off from my site, please feel free to distribute and post. All I ask it that you give me credit for them, and that you do NOT edit them. The more my games and scenarios are seen, the more they will be played. If I get enthusiatic responses and a good readership, I can make more games.

I hope you enjoy my blog. Here's to hoping it goes somewhere. If you have any questions about my scenarios, please feel free to e-mail me at covenofthedragons@yahoo.com, or post your questions in the blog post that it pertains to.

Thank you and have fun!!!!!

Alternate Method for rolling ability scores in 2nd Edition AD&D

Here is an alternate method to rolling ability scores in 2nd Edition AD&D.  I call it the Icewind Dale method, because that is where I first encountered it.  It is also featured in other D&D video games like Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance.

This method is mostly for power gamers and munchkins.
